36th Annual Conference Workshop Registration: Creating Learner Specific Staff Training Tools with an Assent Based Focus

Abstract: Within an organization, staff training is often a standardized package across learners. ORL has successfully implemented a three-component staff training package for over a decade. Recent work has explored the effects of further personalizing the package– adjusting pinpoints, changing the sequence, and adding complementary trainings. This workshop will provide model and extension practice on individualizing two core training components: (a) an instructional evaluation tool and (b) a within-session decision making framework.

Behavioral Objective:

1. Learn how to identify and create supplementary training protocols
2. Identify needed changes in standard staff training tools and make modifications to the pinpoints based on learner profiles
