SCS Executive Director

Non-Conference Programs

Projects:

• • Identifying new content and projects to produce for our website
  • Surveying membership interests

 Programs

 Projects:

• • Identifying and recruiting speakers for annual conferences
  • Executing our annual conferences

 Membership

 Projects:

• • Maintaining record of members
  • Creating initiatives and programs to increase membership base
  • Identifying conference and membership “swag” items

  • Experience with campaigns related to increasing membership and/or organization exposure

 Finance

 Projects:

• • Maintaining financial records related to operating expenses and income
  • Creating transparency reports 
  • Streamlining product and services offerings

• • Experience with financial software (Quickbooks) and reporting
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial reporting requirements
  • Effective communication skills

Scientific and academic 

 Projects:

• • Maintaining a list of SCC/PT research, training, and internship opportunities
  • Providing ‘spotlight’ information on various organizations, programs, and institutions to marketing teams 
  • Providing research and publication advice to membership base

 International relations

 Projects:

• • Executing international conferences
  • Identifying and promoting content to international community base
  • Expanding international membership base

 Web team

 Projects:

• • Updating and maintaining website 
  • Quality control and verification
  • Content organization and management 

 Preferred skills:

• • Experience with HTML, CSS, and website design
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and help them fulfill their organizational objectives

 Operations

 Projects:

• • Ongoing process documentation and improvement
  • Updating job descriptions
  • Organizational assessments and delivery of recommendations 

 Preferred skills:

• • Experience with applying I/O or OBM principles and skills to problem solve for teams
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations
  • Experience with managing software services: Google, Zoom, Asana, Slack, etc. 

 Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity

 Projects:

• • Using survey tools to obtain membership information and capture data
  • Developing professional development events for SCS on diversity related topics
  • Improving future conferences based on needs assessment
